My name is Gerhard Hattingh. The photo was taken on my wedding day just over a year ago. It's the only day that I wasn't hiding from any cameras .... I'm the director of Smilax and the one jumping on every request we receive. Why is everything so green!?
According to a popular board game played by thousands of enthusiasts in South Africa, a Smilax is a greenhouse plant of South Africa. The leave and cherries in the top left corner is part of one. Green with red was the obvious choice, symbolizing the healthy growth of the company.
